Spotify changes the music industry
Spotify is founded in April 2006 by Swedes Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon. It's a brand new streaming service for music, available in a free version with commercials, or as a paid, commercial-free version.
Initially launched as an application for the computer, it is now available for smart phones and in a web browser.
Spotify has 140 million users. In Sweden, Spotify dominates the music streaming industry, and two thirds of all Swedes use Spotify.
